“I seriously believe we have to start asking questions about his mental health,” the Ohio congressman told the Philadelphia Inquirer. “There’s something wrong. He does not seem to understand his words have real impact.”
Kucinich’s comments were in reference to the president’s recent remarks on Iran, in which he suggested World War III could occur if the country obtained nuclear capabilities.
“You cannot be a President of the United States who’s wanton in his expression of violence,” Kucinich said. “There’s a lot of people who need care. He might be one of them. If there isn’t something wrong with him, then there’s something wrong with us. This, to me, is a very serious question.” (CNN)

First he talks about seeing UFO’s, and now this? I am no fan of President Bush nor his policies by any means, but calling into question his mental health is way out of line. Not only is it quite disrespectful, but its utterly absurd (Kucinich mind you has no evidence for his serious claim). President Bush is clearly a very stubborn man, but questioning ones sanity because you disagree with them on politics & policy only adds to the empty words regularly spread throughout Washington.
This is also what I dislike about lower nominees, they sometimes make ridiculous assertions just to make headlines. Its a form of saying, “I’m Still Here!” But in the end, I now have less respect for Congressman Kucinich for acting like a bitter Democrat who will say anything and only adds to the political inaction rather than a responsible leader…
