Rudy Giuliani the Adulterer

Republican presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani compared the scrutiny of his personal life marked by three marriages to the biblical story of how Jesus dealt with an adulterous woman.

In an interview posted online Friday, Giuliani was questioned about his family and told the Christian Broadcasting Network, “I think there are some people that are very judgmental.”

“I’m guided very, very often about, `Don’t judge others, lest you be judged,”‘ Giuliani told CBN interviewer David Brody. “I’m guided a lot by the story of the woman that was going to be stoned, and Jesus put the stones down and said, ‘He that hasn’t sinned, cast the first stone,’ and everybody disappeared. His biblical analogies are really out of place. I’ll bet his Campaign Manager thought this and his picking up the phone when his wife called during his speech to the NRA were great ideas when they created them days before, but it is only bringing more attention to his poor family relationships.

Mr. Giuliani has been married three times and doesn’t seem to have a good relationship with his children. Obviously this is something his campaign wants to hide. They started with a stunt where Giuliani picked up his phone during an NRA speech to show how much he “loves” his wife. He probably picks up for his wife more often during speeches then when he’s alone and just doesn’t feel like talking. Now, theres a new strategy, try to stop people from talking about it because they’re “judging” him.

Mr. Giuliani, YOU’RE RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT. There is no such thing as privacy, and you’re a fool if you think you’re personal life has nothing to do with your capabilities as the leader of our nation. If your morals have so little to do with the Presidency, then why are you so adamant about wanting to talk about them and yet also keep them secret? As Mrs. Obama said, if we can’t run our personal homes, how can we be trusted to run the white house? This was more of a shot at Senator Clinton, but it holds even more true for Mr. Giuliani. I don’t believe his personal life ought to be the end all as a candidate, but it is definitely a factor. It also plays into his faith. For having wanted to be a priest once upon a time and going to a bible college for his BA, he definitely isn’t good at biblical analogies. There is a big difference between judging someone as unfit to live, and judging someone as unfit to be President!

Lets make another analogy for Mr. Giuliani shall we? Mr. Giuliani is the adulterer or the person running for the Presidential office, and the stones we throw are our votes. Now we can all be happy because he isn’t being stoned and we don’t have to live under his leadership…
